Have you tried one of those self help cures you find all over your social media feed? If yes, welcome to my club and you don't have to hide your face. Searching online for solutions to some of your problems may sound convenient but it isn’t exactly a solution worth trying without giving it a second thought.
Quack! Quack! The internet is full of health help trap aimed at attracting traffic to their websites under the guise of ‘holistic healing’. One need not be James Bond to identify these shady doctors. Let us explore the kind of wonder cures which could very well be a help trap.
Apple Cider Vinegar help fight sciatic nerve pain
This one is unique in its claim. Apparently, one has to dip his feet inside a bowl of apple cider vinegar and this wonder cure will help get rid of your sciatic nerve. I tried, 3 years ago and I am still having the sciatic nerve issue. Apple cider vinegar may have its usefulness but tell me how it is going to help you ease your sciatic nerve pain! (something which I did not think of in my desperation.
There are many articles on the internet which talks about the magic of apple cider vinegar but what they lack is any concrete evidence to substantiate their claim. It is one thing to write an article but none of them actually explain how exactly if works. How can a person dipping his leg in warm water tub with half a liter of apple cider vinegar feel no sciatic pain for at-least 6 months! Are we trying to endorse a company selling apple cider vinegar here because it didn't help me for sure. (and whom should I call for a refund?)
Lemon as natural antiperspirant
Call me a fool but I have tried this and ended up having a reddish and itchy underarm for about 3 days. I had to apply a skin cream to heal it. The reason why I tried this absolute nonsense is because I am allergic to almost all the deodorant brands available in the market. I have a reason to believe that acidic content of lemon becomes highly reactive when we sweat. It is another thing to be a naturalist but this thing doesn’t work. Help us by not
suggesting such self help nonsense online.
Coconut Oil for teeth and other uses
I tried and I stopped. Coconut oil maybe a remarkable natural wonder but not for me. Oil pulling may or may not have its benefits but as far as I am concerned, it definitely wasn’t worth it. All the other claims about coconut oil and its miracles are unsubstantiated with no clear evidence provided about the authenticity of the study conducted. However, Ayurveda mentions the benefit of coconut oil for various uses but I believe it differs from person to person. If you really have a dental problem, try using an ayurvedic toothpaste. It surely helped me fight gingivitis.
Hypnosis for past life regression video
No matter what the comments say, the video and that sound is taking you nowhere into your past life. Although I must admit it has a soothing effect on the mind and you may doze off for a while but that’s about it. I tried to find out for myself and did listen to 3 different hypnosis audio in a week, but still I haven’t gone back anywhere in time. All these videos made me sleep but did nothing to my subconscious mind to reveal my past.
These are a few I tried and of which I can think of now. Will share a few more after I experiment with them. Good luck in finding the perfect cure for your problems online.
